This car is a very rare matching numbers RPO-Z/28 with original GM
Cross Ram Intake and Dual 4-bbl 600
CFM Carburetors. Only about 500 GM
Cross Ram intake units were
originally produced. If you have one
of these coveted units you
definitely own a piece of the Z/28
Trans Am legend.
|
 |
Cross Ram Z/28’s are consistently maintaining their value in the six
figures and will continue to do so.
The Cross Ram is by far the most
desirable option for a Z/28.
|
 |
Engine Horsepower Rating: 302 Cubic inches/290 HP with stock intake and
458 HP with Cross Ram Intake based
on early GM Dyno testing @ 7200 RPMS.
This proves the stock 302/290 HP was
way underrated for insurance
purposes because the Cross Ram
Intake is worth and additional 25.5
HP conservatively with an equally
respectable gain in torque. Some
reference say the Cross Ram was
worth up to a 100 HP.
